Installing the Google Earth Plugin

1.  Navigate the web to the mapping application.
2.  Install the Google Earth Plugin from the map window.
3.  When prompted click run twice to install the plug-in to your hard drive.
4.  Close your browser and then restart your browser.
5.  Return to the mapping application and 'enable active x control' that appears at the top of the page.

  
     
 

Outline and Submit Fields

1. Use the map controls to navigate to the desired location on the globe.
2.  Select the pest type to color code the work order.
3.  Hit the button 'plot outline' to begin marking the field, then follow the instructions on the map, to finish the outline click on the thumbtack to close the polygon.
4.  When you are finished plotting the outline, fill in the form by clearing the default information already present in the form fields and input the information significant to that work order.
     Clicking on the "start new" button will reset the map and the form. 
5.   Select the file types that you wish to receive in your email.
6.  Hit send to submit the work order to your email box. 
 
     
  Getting the products from the map

1.  Download attachments from email

2.  For each work order submission, select which file types you want to use.
     -KML opens in Google Earth
     -GIF is a printable map
     -SHP will open in any GIS reader
     -JOB will interface directly with an M3 with a numeric file name.

  
   
  Troubleshooting

1.   Using the Gearth Plugin the first time
Be sure to "Enable Active X" control the first time you visit the map.  The notification displays immediately below your internet's toolbar.

2.  Downloading files
When using Gmail, navigate to the bottom center of the page and select Basic html as the view. Issues with gmail have been fixed via gmail updates.
